We are so excited to have Sean featured as our Model of the Month- continue reading for more details!

1. Where you are from?

I live in NYC. I’m almost a real New Yorker, I’ve lived in here for eight years now.

2esq-03-ennis-mcintosh-061313-xlg. What you are into… studies, hobbies, special skills etc..?

I’m a carpenter. I co own a design and build company called Ennis McIntosh. We specialize in custom furniture and unique spaces. I’ve also been skateboarding and snowboarding since I was a kid. It’s part of who I am and feel off if I go too long without doing either. I’m headed to Jackson Hole, Wyoming this month to snowboard with some friends.

3. Favorite clients from the biz?

I did a Happy Socks lookbook last spring. My friend Viktor owns the brand, he’s one of my favorite people alive. He kept the shoot fun and interesting. Also, Ball & Buck has been a great fit client for me because of it being a fishing and hunting inspired brand and clothes I would normally wear. Not that I hunt or fish, but it’s very masculine and has a heritage feel.

4. Dreams/goals any thing else of interest-feel free to tell the world about?sean full body

I’ve always wanted to be in a budweiser ad, so I’ll keep crossing my fingers for that one. But really, I’d be into working with someone like Patagonia or Filson where the brand identity fits my outdoors and craftsman personality.

5. Career highlights?

I did a Skoal tobacco campaign last November. We were shooting in the woods and lakes of Charleston, South Carolina for 3 days. There were campfires, canoes and jumping off of boats into water involved. It was a great experience.

Also, I recently was in a nationwide Target commercial that filmed for 2 days in New Orleans, Louisiana.

_MG_05776. How did you get into modeling?

My first agent handed me his business card on the subway when I just moved to NYC in 2007. I booked the first casting I went to for a Captain Morgan’s Rum print ad. It’s been a side gig of mine ever since.

7. In honor of Valentine’s Day coming up, what’s your ideal date?

My ideal Valentine’s Day date? I’m not really into scheduled romance. I think people should be romantic spontaneously and not play into some Hallmark holiday.  But that being said, I’m sure I’ll be having oysters and champagne somewhere.

BICOASTAL model Alexx Buesgens

Do you get blue in the winter? During the cold dark days, I often get quiet and melancholy. The weather is cold, we put on our layers of mummy clothing, the sky is grey and it’s dark outside at 4:30 pm. It’s important to find moments to reconnect with yourself and the earth- be sure you are getting fresh air everyday, taking extra vitamin D and getting enough omega 3’s and exercise. I’ve found during these internal, quiet times of the year, it’s important to make time to connect with a friend, someone you can trust to let out the ruins of the day without judgement. Chances are others are feeling a bit down during the cold winter months. The simple act of talking to one another can lift the spirits. Read on for tips on how to beat the winter blues and stay positive in the new year—>
